Top Orkney rower Sean Corrigall has today taken another significant step towards his dream of competing for Team GB as a single sculler.
Having posted a new Personal Best on the indoor rowing machine for 2000m of 5min 58.3sec, which no Scot has bettered, the improvement curve is showing no signs of flattening out and many believe he has the potential to gain GB honours.
At 6ft 9ins tall Sean is surely built for the job and is working exceptionally hard to add the required technical skills to take him to the top. Having been part of a newly put together team of eight that came third in the Head of the River Race in London last week, the big man now heads to Nottingham for training camp and the third round of the GB Olympic trials where he hopes to progress his claims to a place in the squad in his own right.
The Orkney rower is supported by Northern Isles shipping and Orkney and Shetland transport specialist Streamline Shipping Group allowing him to train full time with the elite GB squad.
