Northern Isles Besides operating our own container ship, the MV Daroja, twice per week from Aberdeen to Orkney and Shetland (290 x 20 containers capacity), we also operate complimentary daily express trailer groupage and full load services from Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen to our own depots in Kirkwall (Orkney) and Lerwick (Shetland) utilising the daily ro-ro passenger ferry routes provided by "Northlink Ferries Ltd". All types of goods can be shipped, including temperature-controlled foodstuffs and hazardous goods to heavy lift and out-of-gauge project cargoes. This flexibility enables all types of goods to be shipped to and from these remote isles to meet transit time requirements and gives clients the advantage of various pricing options. Cargo moving to/from the Northern Isles can be collected/delivered anywhere in the UK and Europe. Western Isles We can also offer daily trailer groupage and full load freight services from Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness throughout the Western Isles in conjunction with our Island based partners. Scottish Haulage Being one of the most progressive and successful transport & distribution companies operating throughout Scotland, we have an extensive fleet of modern equipment available at our disposal, including brand new reefer trailers, flats and curtain-siders (some with double decks), in excess of 350 x 20' ISO containers, tail-lift distribution rigid vehicles, Hi-Ab flat trucks and a fleet of parcel delivery vans. Daily trunk services from/to the Scottish Central Belt to Aberdeen and Inverness are provided for all types of cargo. Scotland to Scotland Radial Distribution/"One Stop Shop" From our 15,500 sq ft Glasgow depot (ideally located to J5 of the M74), we provide the complete "one stop shop" facility for prompt delivery throughout the whole of Scotland. From the Borders to the Highlands & Islands, from Glasgow locally to Edinburgh, one call does it all. We'll even handle your book-in's and delivery by tail-lift is available from all our strategically located depots. Out-of-hours and second man deliveries can be arranged with prior notice. UK Haulage & Distribution Full & Part Trailer Loads Whether you have a requirement from England-Scotland or Scotland-England, we can handle your part and full trailer loads. Our UK haulage division is based at our Glasgow depot and provides coverage throughout the UK. Manned by experienced transport operators who have considerable knowledge of the UK haulage market, we can provide "one way" or "round trip" solutions as well as "backhaul" facilities both North and South for most types of cargo. Pallet Distribution As a totally neutral service provider, operating in long-term partnership with two of the UK's most progressive pallet networks, we have nationwide facilities on hand to move your pallets throughout the UK and continental Europe. A full range of quality services is available for general cargo such as economy, next day, timed delivery, tail-lift & book-in's. Warehousing From our own network of five strategically located depots throughout Scotland (Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, Kirkwall & Lerwick), we have modern facilities to cross-dock freight quickly, provide short or long-term storage, break-bulk and pick and pack services. P.O.D. Control We recognised many years ago that returning POD's was as important as being able to deliver the goods. Many of our clients would argue that the POD is in reality more important, as without it they cannot be paid. With this in mind, we implemented the innovative guarantee of "No POD-No Carriage Charge". If we fail to return a POD, we won't charge you a single penny for the transaction. Furthermore, we have dedicated staff at all of our depots to return your POD's to your specific requirements in a timely and efficient manner. Stevedoring Employing a considerable pool of experienced personnel, we can react at short notice and provide the full range of stevedoring facilities 24/7 every day of the year from our Aberdeen, Kirkwall and Lerwick depots. World Wide Freight Forwarding Our International Division welcome your enquiries on Freight requirements whether by Road Sea or Air. We work with a network of overseas partners and agents to ensure control of your consignments from door to door. We are operating regular scheduled services throughout Western Europe by Road direct from our Glasgow site to the Continent, as well as sea and air freight consolidations. For packages and parcels we co-operate with the main service providers, and through our bulk purchasing power can offer discounted rates.
